Melissa has been the recruitment industry for 8 years, with the last 5 years being in Executive Search. Throughout her career, she has worked on a wide variety of roles in various industries and sectors including construction, healthcare, non-profit, corporate, retail, and much more. Over the years, Melissa has become known for filling those ‘hard to find’ roles with tight deadlines.
Melissa’s educational achievements are ever-growing. She holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg, a Graduate Certificate in Management from the Australian Institute of Business, and has achieved her Registered Recruitment Professional Certification from the Institute of Professional Management. Her education has allowed her to be successful in the recruitment industry by allowing her to develop the combined communication skills, business acumen, technical recruitment knowledge, and persistence that is needed in this job.
Recruiting has been a passion of Melissa’s for a long time. She loves the challenge of finding the right fit for her clients and loves helping people enhance their careers! Aside from recruitment, she also has a keen interest in business operations. She enjoys analyzing and improving operations in order to better serve clients as well as candidates, and is always looking for ways to become more efficient.
When Melissa is not in the office, she is with her two sons Hendrix (3) and Maverick (2), and her husband, Justis. They have a love for the outdoors, so most of their free time is spent exploring Manitoba’s backyard. They also love to travel, and will jump on a plane any chance they get. When Melissa isn’t with her family, she is either with her best friends, at a hot yoga, jogging, reading, or relaxing with a glass of red wine.
