Project Manager

Opportunity:

The Pederson Group has been retained by Hipperson Construction to conduct a search for a Project Manager!

For more than 100 years, Hipperson Construction has been a leading provider of top-quality construction services throughout the Prairies. They are a one-stop shop for all commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects in Saskatchewan, with projects as high as $50M. With decades of experience, Hipperson has a demonstrated track record as a general contractor, design-builder, construction manager, and supplier of pre-engineered steel buildings!

Reporting to senior management, the Project Manager will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of tenders for their Saskatoon region from initiation through to tender closing.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and schedule materials, manpower and sub-trade contractors while ensuring effective project completion for Hipperson’s clients.

  • Work in a team approach with Hipperson’s network of qualified suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver a quality outcome for their clients.

  • Monitor and enforce strict compliance with Quality and Safety programs.

  • Estimate commercial, industrial and civil construction ranging in size from $500,000 to multi-million dollar values.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is an asset, preferably in a relevant field such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.

  • Proven experience working on various commercial and industrial projects valued over $10M would be an asset. Projects include healthcare centres, sports arenas, malls, water treatment plants, pump stations, bridges and commercial office buildings.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a project management capacity.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in a variety of computer applications and software.

  • Ability to set and manage priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation and Gold Seal Certification are considered assets.

  • A high degree of accuracy in numerical calculations and estimates is required.
