Project Coordinator

Opportunity: 

The Pederson Group has been retained by Hipperson Construction to conduct a search for a Project Coordinator!

With decades of experience, Hipperson has a demonstrated track record as a general contractor, design-builder, construction manager, and supplier of pre-engineered steel buildings! 

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating schedules, trades, contracts and tenders on various construction projects, including pre-engineered steel buildings, concrete foundations, commercial/industrial renovations and new building construction. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in managing and scheduling materials and manpower while ensuring effective project completion for Hipperson’s clients. 

  • Estimate commercial, industrial and civil construction projects ranging in size from $500,000 to multi-million dollar values. 

  • Maintain established relationships with architectural and engineering consultants. 

  • Work closely with clients and client representatives in all aspects of project stages. 

  • Monitor and enforce strict compliance with quality and safety programs. 

  • Collaborate with Hipperson’s network of qualified suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver quality outcomes for clients. 

  • Prepare progress reports, construction schedules, milestones and monitor progress against established schedules. 

Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architectural technologies, or construction management. 

  • Prior experience in project coordination or estimating is preferred.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Projects.

  • Proficient in using construction management software such as ProCore.

  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
