Proposal and Marketing Manager

Opportunity: 

The Pederson Group has been retained by a highly reputable construction and development leader to conduct a search for a Proposal and Marketing Manager in Saskatoon, SK!

With nearly 40 years of experience in the construction industry, our client is a trusted provider of a wide range of services, including general contracting, construction management, design-build, and special projects. Our client has vast experience working with consultants, building owners and government agencies on commercial, institutional and industrial projects—many of which are now provincial landmarks across the prairies.  

As the Proposal and Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all proposals and marketing materials are developed and delivered accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Review RFPs and weigh-in on compliance, strengths, and weaknesses. 

  • Manage the proposal development process, including assigning tasks to project team members, following up on feedback, and ensuring all feedback is received on time.

  • Prepare and tailor content for all non-technical sections of the proposal.

  • Create visuals for proposal submissions, as necessary.

  • Manage the overall completion and presentation of the proposal.

  • Ensure timely delivery of proposal submissions as per the pre-set proposal schedule.

  • Ensure consistency in the proposal by reviewing and tailoring content received from multiple contributors to maintain one voice throughout the submission.

  • Create and update marketing material, including project outlines.

  • Update proposal databases, including tracking sheets and standard content.

  • Update website content as required.

  • Manage and curate content for social media channels, including weekly posting and reporting.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant program such as marketing, business, architecture, or engineering is considered an asset.

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience with preference given to candidates who have experience in the construction industry.

  • Strong marketing background and knowledge of digital media marketing.

  • Knowledge of the proposal process from RFP identification to post-tender activities is considered an asset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Knowledge of CRM and proposal automation is an asset.

  • APMP Foundation Certification is an asset.
