Site Superintendent

Opportunity:

The Pederson Group has been retained to conduct a search for an experienced Site Superintendent!

For more than 100 years, our client has been a leading provider of top-quality construction services throughout the Prairies. They are a one-stop shop for all commercial, industrial, and civil construction services, with projects as high as $50M. With decades of experience, our client has a demonstrated track record as a general contractor, design-builder, construction manager, and supplier of pre-engineered steel buildings!

The Site Superintendent will be responsible for on-site commercial and/or industrial construction activities within the established design, budget and scheduling guidelines. This includes planning and scheduling, organizing, directing and controlling activities on the construction site.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize, direct and control on-site construction management to ensure compliance with the owner’s specifications, budget and schedule.

  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on-site to ensure their work is meeting schedule and quality specifications.

  • Supervise internal forces.

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure efficient schedule coordination and minimize delays.

  • Represent the company in meetings with clients/representatives.

  • Complete field admin documentation: timesheets, quantity reports, and purchase orders.

  • Coordinate workforce, material deliveries and equipment on site.

  • Work in a team environment.

  • Demonstrate leadership in adherence to the company safety management program.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven supervisory experience in commercial and/or civil infrastructure construction.

  • Must have experience in all aspects of concrete work.

  • Proven safety training and awareness.

  • Journeyperson certification in the trade of carpentry is preferred.

  • Proven leadership qualities and the ability to work in a team environment.
