Opportunity:
The Pederson Group has been retained to conduct a search for an experienced Site Superintendent!
For more than 100 years, our client has been a leading provider of top-quality construction services throughout the Prairies. They are a one-stop shop for all commercial, industrial, and civil construction services, with projects as high as $50M. With decades of experience, our client has a demonstrated track record as a general contractor, design-builder, construction manager, and supplier of pre-engineered steel buildings!
The Site Superintendent will be responsible for on-site commercial and/or industrial construction activities within the established design, budget and scheduling guidelines. This includes planning and scheduling, organizing, directing and controlling activities on the construction site.
Responsibilities:

Organize, direct and control on-site construction management to ensure compliance with the owner’s specifications, budget and schedule.

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on-site to ensure their work is meeting schedule and quality specifications.

Supervise internal forces.
-
Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure efficient schedule coordination and minimize delays.

Represent the company in meetings with clients/representatives.

Complete field admin documentation: timesheets, quantity reports, and purchase orders.

Coordinate workforce, material deliveries and equipment on site.

Work in a team environment.

Demonstrate leadership in adherence to the company safety management program.
Experience and Qualifications:

Proven supervisory experience in commercial and/or civil infrastructure construction.

Must have experience in all aspects of concrete work.

Proven safety training and awareness.

Journeyperson certification in the trade of carpentry is preferred.

Proven leadership qualities and the ability to work in a team environment.
