The Pederson Group has been retained by Nova Star to conduct a search for a Commercial HVAC Technician!

Nova Star (a Red River Co-op company) is a highly reputable industrial and commercial refrigeration company that provides service and maintenance for all types of refrigeration, heating, air conditioning and kitchen equipment. They also specialize in other areas like heat pumps, gas pipes, hookups and ventilation. Reporting to the General Manager, the Commercial HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, diagnosing and repairing HVAC/R equipment while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

The Commercial HVAC Technician will be responsible for the following HVAC systems:

• RACK refrigeration with numerous grocery stores offering new and old, from 30-year-old Hil Dual Mates to the latest technology from Hill/Phoenix, Hussmann, and Emerson.
• RTU, MUA, and many ventilation systems from Carrier, Lennox, CaptiveAire systems, and others, with many different applications, including the opportunity for installation, service, and maintenance.
• Commercial refrigeration with self-contained units, ice machines, deli, and bakery equipment.
• Boilers in car washes c/w in slab heat systems, and radiant heat.
• All forms of restaurant and CStore equipment.

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (Licensed A or B Gas Fitter) or 4th Level Apprentice.
• Valid driver's license.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Previous experience with grocery store refrigeration equipment would be considered an asset.
• Eager to work on a variety of HVAC/R equipment and willing to take the initiative to learn new systems.
