The Pederson Group has been retained by Thorwin Properties to conduct a search for a new Project Coordinator to join their growing team in Winnipeg, MB!

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Coordinator will collaborate with Superintendents to ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:

Monitor the daily progress of projects.

Maintain project documentation while complying with company standards and specifications.

Provide detailed updates to the operations manager, superintendents and stakeholders.

Coordinate trades and equipment installation.

Work with developers, contractors, as well as vendors on construction issues and contracts.

Tender project construction and equipment installations.

Perform site inspections and create reports while mitigating issues as they arise.

Enforce construction standards and ensure cost controls are followed.

Assist in developing the scope of work, specifications and budget summaries.

Update square footage, quarterly projections and project status spreadsheets frequently.

Work with regulators to ensure all relevant permits are in place.
Experience and Qualifications:
-
Minimum 2 years of experience working on small to medium-sized construction projects.

Experience in commercial and/or multi-family construction is considered an asset.

Post-secondary education is considered an asset, with a preference for a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation or equivalent education in a relevant field such as engineering, construction management or project management.

Experience with Microsoft Office, Timberline, BIM or AutoCAD will be considered assets.

Strong organizational, time management and people management skills that effectively foster team success and enhance overall performance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals.
