Project Coordinator

Opportunity: 

The Pederson Group has been retained by Modular Building Solutions to conduct a search for a Project Coordinator to join their team in Winnipeg, Manitoba! 

Modular Building Solutions (MBS) is a reputable construction company that has been leading the way in modular construction across central Canada for over a decade. Our client provides turn-key modular solutions across Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario for a range of projects, including single-family homes, multi-family residences, commercial buildings, large-scale residential projects, and First Nations developments.

Reporting to the Partner, the Project Coordinator will coordinate project schedules, manage documentation, and facilitate communication among clients, stakeholders and team members. This position will also include project administration responsibilities.  

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage project documentation, such as contracts, drawings, reports, and purchase orders/change orders, while adhering to company standards and specifications.

  • Prepare project schedules and budgets to ensure timely completion.

  • Monitor project progress to ensure successful completion. 

  • Maintain adherence to budget constraints while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

  • Assist with the procurement of materials required for multiple projects.

  • Resolve and mitigate any issues to guarantee successful delivery.

  • Support project managers in their day-to-day operations and with project planning.

  • Ensure effective communication between all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors and team members.

  • Communicate with superintendents and trades on a daily basis.

  • Maintain a well-organized filing system for project documentation, allowing quick access to necessary information.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a project coordinator or project administrator is preferred.

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, architectural technologies, construction management, or a related field is considered an asset but is not required.

  • Previous experience reading and interpreting blueprints effectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals.

  • Proven team leader with strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent administrative skills with the ability to multitask and efficiently prioritize tasks. 

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Project, among other applications.
