Architect/Project Manager

The Pederson Group has partnered with Cooper Rankin Architecture to conduct a search for an Architect/Project Manager to join their team in Winnipeg, MB!

Following an ownership transition and incorporation in 2018, Cooper Rankin delivers a range of commercial, multi-family residential, institutional and tenant improvement projects, providing team members with the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle in a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth, critical thinking and long-term career development.

The Architect/Project Manager will lead projects of varying size and complexity, from tenant fit-ups and commercial renovations to multi-family residential developments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead small-, medium-, and large-scale architectural projects from concept through execution.

  • Manage client relationships and provide exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities for new work.

  • Mentor and support less experienced team members where appropriate.

  • Work collaboratively with project teams and contribute to a positive team environment.

  • Ensure projects meet quality, regulatory and professional standards.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience practicing as a licensed Architect with the proven ability to manage and execute projects effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking, curiosity, confidence and communication skills, with the ability to both lead and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience working with similar clients and project types.
  • A desire to mentor and support the development of junior team members.
  • Experience with business development and CRM platforms.
  • WELL Certification or comparable training and credentials are considered an asset.
  • Additional strengths in operations, specialized credentials, technical expertise and/or business development.
  • A long-term vision for continued growth as an architect and leader.
